The construction of the Kamsky Forge Plant began in 1971 when in July the first bucket of natural soil was excavated to lay its foundation. The construction pace was impressive.
In 1971, the personnel of the plant already numbered 210, and 60 of them worked in Moscow. The group comprised shop superintendents and main specialists. Planning of the plant jointly with the head institute was a part of their task. It is worth to note that both the planning and construction of the plant were conducted simultaneously. At the same time workers, engineers and technicians were provided to meet the needs for communications, equipment and technologies.
In December 1975, production buildings No. 1, 3, 4 and 5 were put in use as it was planned for the 1st Stage of construction. The 2nd Stage of construction was completed in December 1980 and the operating capacity of the plant was 300 000 forgings/year.
Thirty one year has passed since the beginning of the construction. We still adhere to the traditions created by the pioneers in the construction and setting-up of the plant. At present the personnel of the enterprise numbers over 2000 and Gennady S. Logunov acts as the Plant Manager.
