News archiveCummins Crankshafts Will Be Made at Our Forge PlantThe forge plant of KAMAZ Metallurgical Complex has successfully finished mastering of a crankshaft forging to be mounted on engines manufactured by Cummins–Kama JV. The forging differs from that of the KAMAZ-truck for its more simple and graceful geometry. And it is this difference that made designers, technologists and production personnel work hard at the forge plant. At the end of the last year Cummins Inc. audited the factory, and the audit confirmed that forgings made by KAMAZ Forge Plant met all the requirements for Cummins engine components. In addition, a pilot batch of forged parts was machined at the engine plant and was approved as a conforming one. Based on the results of work, it was decided to proceed to a serial production of the forging. The volume of delivery should be 300 crankshafts in February and it is scheduled to be increased up to 800 pieces for April. The Best Chelnintsy Have Been Honoured Awards
